Chief Executive

A tech entrepreneur with a passion for continuous growth and social impact. Vea is the CEO and Founder of Insightful Decisions, Inc., a startup that offers two product offerings: IDEALStudent Academy, an ed-tech interactive STEM curriculum for middle – high school students, and VeaCommerce, a one-stop web development shop for entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses. Strong Tech Expertise
Vea graduated with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. She has close to twenty years experience as a full stack developer writing clean, scalable code. Vea has worked on a variety of projects as a Java developer, .Net developer, and Senior Hybrid Mobile developer. Developing these critical skills in both backend and front end technologies while utilizing design patterns, cemented Vea’s foundation as a solid full stack developer with strong OOAD principles. Her technical expertise and proficiency in technology have helped her to launch her startup.
Ed-Tech Entrepreneur
For the past seven years, Vea has been focused on developing personal socially conscious projects that expose youth, particularly those in underserved communities, to the exciting world of software development. Vea has developed an interactive STEM curriculum called IDEALStudent Academy. Through live instructor-led boot camps and hackathons, our program has helped hundreds of teens from various schools in the Chicagoland area build over 50 apps and websites, and in doing so, has made a meaningful impact on their lives.
Tech Entrepreneur
In addition to her work with teens, Vea is also vested in working with entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses through her VeaCommerce product offering. VeaCommerce offers a wide range of services, including digital strategy meetings, technical documentation, web design and development, and lead-generating campaigns, all aimed at transforming clients’ websites into their most valuable asset.
Business Strategist
In addition to her work with teens, Vea is also vested in working with entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses through her VeaCommerce product offering. Education & Training
Vea holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science and has completed several business programs, including the Founders Institute and a 9-month business plan accredited program through Joseph Business School. She is also a member of WiSTEM, a cutting-edge organization that supports women-founded businesses and provides access to a network of thought leaders and ahead-of-the-curve information.
Continuous Growth
But Vea’s ambitions don’t stop there. She is also committed to expanding her professional profile and becoming an open-source contributor. Vea is passionate about mentoring junior developers, blogging about the exciting world of software development and the many tech opportunities available to young people, promoting diversity in tech initiatives, and exploring devops, AWS, and other technologies. Vea is determined to solidify additional certifications and continue growing their skills and knowledge.
